During Karla's former 23-year career as a freelance court reporter, she pursued many interests in the area of spirituality and personal growth.  Since 1992, she has experienced and studied BioEnergetic Analysis with John McCormick , which involves body/mind/spirit integration through combining psychotherapy and body work, which she acknowledges changed her life.  In the Fall of 1997, she enrolled in the Blue Heron Academy and also the Institute of Transformational Hypnotherapy, graduating from both institutions in the Spring of 1998, and she has pursued continuing education and experience in various forms since that time, including Reiki, Healing Touch, Native American ceremonies, Tai Chi, vibrational modalities, to name a few.

In early 1999, she opened her private practice of massage therapy/hypnotherapy on a part-time basis in Muskegon, and as of January 2000, has been in that endeavor full time. From late 2000 until March of 2002, she worked out of Dr. Leonard Wright's office, where she gained tremendous experience working with Dr. Wright, a holistic-focused medical doctor and acupuncturist. He closed his office after accepting the first full-time Medical Director position with Harbor Hospice and Karla volunteered massage therapy services for that organization for about two years.

She has been on site here at Angel Reflections/Center of Light since April 2002. She has stated often how pleased she is to be a part of the healing energy community here. She is excited to offer this opportunity to share her life experience to facilitate personal growth combined with fun.
